Job Description: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) - 1099 Position

 

Mindfulness Based Counseling and Coaching is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team on a contractual basis (1099). As an LPC, you will provide effective counseling services to individuals and couples dealing with a variety of mental health and emotional issues. While this role is currently fully remote, we prefer candidates who reside in the greater Fayetteville area, as it will evolve into a hybrid (in-person and virtual) position in the near future.

Responsibilities:

● Conduct initial assessments and intake interviews to understand clients' needs and develop treatment plans.

● Provide individual therapy sessions.

● Maintain a caseload of up to 25 clients.

● Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

● Collaborate with other Mindfulness Based Counseling and Coaching professionals as part of the team.

● Stay informed about advancements in counseling practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

● Maintain current license and professional liability insurance.

● Follow all legal and ethical guidelines for counseling.

● Have a reliable phone and computer to work from home.

 

Qualifications:

● Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who is fully licensed in Arkansas.

● Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment.

● Commitment to ethical practices and maintaining client confidentiality.

● Experience in treating a wide range of mental health disorders and emotional challenges.

● Willingness to consult and seek supervision as needed.

● Strong organizational skills to maintain your own calendar, schedule clients, submit billing, and handle other paperwork on time.

● Comfort with or willingness to learn using EHR systems (currently Simple Practice) and conducting virtual therapy sessions.

● Eligible for credentialing with insurance companies.

● Excellent communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

● Familiarity with or interest in learning Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mindfulness Based Counseling.

● Training in trauma-informed modalities.

● Ability to assess crises and determine the level of care and referral when needed.

● Additional licensure in other states.
